National Night Out
Law enforcement agencies, neighborhoods and communities nationwide will be celebrating the 15th annual National Night Out (NNO) next month. NNO is designed to heighten drug and crime prevention awareness, generate support for local efforts and strengthen community and police relations.
From 7 to 10 p.m. on Aug. 4, residents throughout King County are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police.
King County Sheriff's office would like to arrange for patrol officers and storefront officers to visit those neighborhoods that would like to organize a neighborhood gathering. Anyone interested in sponsoring such an event may call Officer Mark Childers at (206) 296-4480 or Officer Ken Williams at (206) 296-2744.
