July 22: A 23-year old man reported that he was assaulted in the parking lot of Target. Firecrackers were thrown at the victim's car and victim by a 26-year-old male as the victim was parking his car. Following a verbal confrontation with the suspect, the victim was struck on the head after declining to fight. The suspect fled in a black El Camino. The victim was treated and released.
August 1: Youths playing with matches set brush on fire at the Waterford Apartments. The fire was extinguished promptly. An eight year-old boy and a five year-old boy each told police that the other had set the fire. Both have a history of setting fires, and their parents are working with the youths to teach them the dangers.
August 2: An 18-year old girl was cited and released for stealing an undisclosed amount of cash and lotto tickets while working at a gas station in the 14000 block of NE 175 St. Video surveillance was used as evidence.
August 2/3: Unknown suspect(s) used a pry bar to gain entry to a business located in the 13100 block of NE 175 St. taking a cash drawer and an undisclosed amount of cash.
July 30: A 33-year-old male was cited for fourth-degree assault following a fight at Koyote's bar.
July 20/August 4: A resident in the 19700 block of 166th Ave NE reported the theft of a bucket of coins, a nail gun and a roto hammer valued at $850. No evidence of forced entry was found.
August 2: Unable to contact her relatives, police transported a 13-year-old Darrington girl to Seattle Department of Social and Health Services early Sunday morning. Police were called to a gas station/mini-mart located in the 15500 block of Woodinville-Duvall Road after she asked a clerk for money to call home after she became stranded following a function in Monroe. Police confiscated a brass-colored, residue-filled pipe from the girl and kept it for disposal.
