Cedarcrest senior class garage sale

Cedarcrest High School Class of 1999 Garage Sale and Bake Sale is set for Aug. 22, 9-4 at the Carnation Elementary School parking lot. CDs, computer items, small appliances, Levis jeans and a lot more will be for sale. For more information, call Dan Pflugrath at 425-880-6099.

Vacation Bible School in Fall City

Fall City United Methodist Church is offering Vacation Bible School on Aug. 18, 19 and 20 from 6-8 p.m. Ages 3 years to 6th grade with an adult program. Cost is $7 per person or $14 per family. Free child care will be provided and scholarships are available.
   Registration is Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. each evening.Offering will benefit the children of Snoqualmie Valley who need school supplies. Also, donations will be accepted for a children's clothing drive. For more information, call Brenda at 222-6859.

Carnation C of C garage sale

Carnation Chamber of Commerce will be holding their second annual city-wide craft and garage sale on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The charge for a site, which goes towards city events, is $5 for Carnation residents and $7 for non-residents. Call Rosebud's at 425-333-6895.

Children's learning workshop

Parents and children grades 1-3 will learn how to use seven different intelligences to make reading and writing fun at workshops at the Duvall Library on Wednesday, Aug. 12 and at the North Bend Library on Tuesday, Aug. 18 from 6:30-8 p.m. To register, call Eastside Literacy at 425-844-2459.

Community Network Board to meet

The Snoqualmie Valley Community Network Board will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Colonial Inn in Fall City. The meeting is open to the public. The agenda includes an update on the status of funding and the status of prevention activities, including the mentoring program for middle school youth. Call 333-6614 for information.

Physicals and conditioning camp for MHS athletes

Families with students interested in playing sports have the opportunity for a low-cost physical on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at Medalia Practice in Monroe. The cost is $25 per student. Physicals will be scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Students must register prior to August 19 by calling the Monroe High School office at 794-3010. A Conditioning Camp is also available from Aug. 17-21 at the high school. Cost is $10 for the daily 9-11 a.m. sessions. It is open to all Monroe High students. Entertainment in Monroe

Deano the Clown will be at Sky River Park in Monroe Aug. 13, 10 a.m. as part of a free summer concert schedule. Reptile Man & Raffle is scheduled for Aug. 20 at 10 a.m. For information, call Kathy Avery at 360-794-1078.

Historical Societies picnic

Duvall and Tolt Historical Societies will be having a picnic Aug. 23 at noon at Taylor's Landing just north of Duvall on SR-203. The Duvall Society is celebrating the 85th birthday of Duvall's incorporation by arranging with the Post Office for special cancellation for the same day (Sunday) during the picnic. These cancellations are collectors' items. Any person or group will be welcomed to join in the celebration. Bring a plate, set-up and potluck dish.

Art on the Farm
