   The Humane Society for Seattle/King County announces Bob Bigelow elected to the Board of Directors as Vice-President. Bob is Operations Manager for Safeline Leasing and a resident of Bothell.
  
   Nick and Kathy Calcagni, of Woodinville, have been approved for membership into a program developed by the American Quarter Horse Association designed to bring horse buyers together with reputable American Quarter Horse owners and breeders.
  
   The Nature Conservancy of Washington's Board of Trustees has appointed Eileen O'Neill Odum of Woodinville as one of the new members for the 1998-2001 term. Eileen serves on the numerous boards including the Commission for Student Learning's Accountability Task Force and a former co-chair of the Sno-County United Way campaign.
  
   Eric Vanderlip, of Bothell, was the first runner-up at the Da Vinci Gourmet Dessert Contest. His creation, 'Pacific Rim Express', won him dinner for two at Palisade.
  
   Nancy Lee Chone, of Woodinville, donated her quilt 'The Elements: The Rainforest', to an auction held by the Association of Pacific Northwest Quilters.
  
   Jocelyn Halverson, of Woodinville, 1998 Longaberger Company National Sales Award winner,with annual sales of more than $45,000.
