Tony Griego, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Griego of Woodinville, received Boy Scout's highest rank, the Eagle Scout Award, at a Court of Honor Aug. 8.

For his Eagle Project, Tony constructed an elevated deck at Bear Creek Elementary School. The deck is used by the students of Bear Creek while they work in the salmon stream. He was assisted by members of Troop 573 and Jerry Salter's carpentry skills.

Tony graduated from Woodinville High School in June where he earned a 3.75 GPA and was a member of the Honor Society. Tony was a two year varsity letterman in both cross-country and track and was a member of the yearbook staff and the band.

This fall, he will attend the University of Washington, where he will major in English. His goal is to become a film director.
