Woodinville Wine Festival & Art Walk on Saturday, September 12, 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The 15th annual Woodinville Wine Festival & Art Walk will be held Saturday, September 12, 1998, from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Amphitheater in Woodinville.
Featured will be Northwest wine and microbrewery tastings, the works of Northwest artists and craftspeople, live musical performances and specialty food booths.
Admission is free. Northwest wineries and micro-breweries will offer tastings of their products for a script purchase. Bottle purchases will be available.
The Wine Festival & Art Walk features juried fine arts and crafts, showcasing Northwest artisans including painters, sculptors, and designers of unique products.
Live musical entertainment will include performances by The Woodinville Community Band, Per Isberg's Big Band, jazz artist David Templeton, and others.
Gourmet food is provided by Lowell & Hunt catering. Mocha Joe's will offer espresso and other drinks.
Net proceeds will benefit the Woodinville Repertory Theater and Woodinville High School Drama Department's performance in Edinburgh, Scotland, August 1999.
Parking is available on the winery grounds. Chateau Ste. Michelle is located at 14111 145th St. NE in Woodinville.
The festival is produced by the Woodinville Community Roundtable each year as a fundraiser for Woodinville organizations.
The Roundtable is a community based organization with membership from government, business, social services organizations, community groups and individuals. Don Julien, Woodinville Library manager, is president of the Woodinville Community Roundtable and co-chair of the Woodinville Wine Festival.
Sponsors of the festival are Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Winery, Windermere Real Estate, Lowell-Hunt Catering, Seattle Magazine and The Woodinville Weekly.
The Woodinville Wine Festival began as one of the first in the Northwest and has grown to one of the largest in the state with the cooperation of Chateau Ste. Michelle and Columbia Winery and other local businesses.
There is still time for artists and speciality food companies to participate.
There is also time for additional volunteers who want to work the festival to register.
