Spectrum Dance Theater to perform at Cedarcrest

   The Duvall Arts Commission, in conjunction with the King County Arts Commission, will present Spectrum Dance Theater as part of the King County Performance Network.
   Spectrum Dance Theater performs and teaches dance of the American Aesthetic, a contemporary jazz dance art form rooted in American life to which people can readily relate. It is an artistic, technical and soulfully expressive form of dance. Spectrum performs locally, regionally and internationally, including performances at the Kennedy Center, the Jazz Dance World Congress and a fall 1998 European tour. Spectrum will perform at Cedarcrest High School in Duvall on Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
   Tickets for the event are available by phone at 1-800-677-ARTS or by mail order. To order by mail, send a check or money order made out to "Duvall Arts" along with your name, phone number and the number of each kind of ticket to: Duvall Arts, P.O. Box 1043, Duvall, WA 98019.
   Children under the age of 12 are admitted free, but will need tickets to be admitted. Students ages 12 to 18 are $5, $8 for adults and seniors over 60 are $5. Groups of 10 or more pay $5 per ticket.
   On September 10, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Spectrum will offer a free jazz dance workshop suitable for ages 10 and up. The workshop will be held in the gymnasium at Cedarcrest High School. No previous dance experience is required. Wear soft-soled shoes and come prepared to have a good time.
