THEATRE REVIEW: 'Rent' rocks with heart, soul
This pulsating, electrifying rock opera, a hot, up-dated take on Puccini's "La Boheme," definitely lives up to its hype, taking audiences on a relentless, emotional rollercoaster ride for two and a half-hours. It is a gritty tale of young twenty-something artists and their dreams as they struggle to live, create and love in these disconnected times.
THEATRE REVIEW: 'Red'-- Drama of depth and complexity
"Red" is a show of much depth and complexity, though at times the web that is spun causes some confusion, along with the alternating time period changes. The show does leave audiences with an understanding of the power of art and an appreciation for artists who must endure in adverse times.
