Northshore communities join hands
The month of October has been named Northshore Family Month by the cities of Bothell, Kenmore and Woodinville. This year's theme is Northshore Communities Join Hands.
Any organizations or individuals who wish to be included in the activity calendar for the month should send the title of the event, date(s), location(s), sponsoring group and telephone number to Marie Stake, City of Woodinville, 13205 NE 175th St., Woodinville, WA 98072 by Sept. 18.
Wellswood families will kick off Family Month with a mural at the barbecue planned for Sept. 15.
Kids Give a Hand is an activity planned for Sept. 26 at Bothell Landing at the Health and Fitnes Fair. Children are invited to trace their hands onto paper and sign their name and then either post it at the Landing or take it to the drop-off boxes located at the public libraries in one of the three communities. Children may also decorate their drawings with colored paper, crayons, chalk, etc.
The hands will then be displayed at businesses and stores throughout Northshore.
For information on other events, call Janet Padgett, committee chairperson at (425) 402-1333, Ext. 25.
