Jewish Holy Days
Rosh Hashanah services will be led by Rabbi Stanley Yedwab at the Bear Creek Community Church located on the corner of 143 St. NE and Avondale Rd. The evening service will be held Sept. 20 at 7 p.m.; the morning services begin at 10 a.m. on Sept. 21. Rosh Hashana celebrates the Jewish new year and begins a ten-day celebration of the High Holy Days.
The celebration ends with the observance of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, which begins at sundown on Sept. 29 with Kol Nidre services at 7 p.m. at the Bear Creek Community Church.
Yom Kippur morning services will begin at 10 a.m. Sept. 30. Afternoon Yizkor and concluding services are set for 5 p.m. and followed by a break-the-fast potluck, all to be held at the Bothell United Methodist Church, 18515 92nd Ave. NE, Bothell.
Both congregation members and non-members are invited to the events, but a small charge will be made for non-members.
