Free concerts

  The King County Parks Concert Series kicks off with Guitar Slim playing rhythm and blues Sept. 26 from 3 to 4 pm. at the Tolt-MacDonald Park.

Support group for working mothers

  A support group for working mothers who wish to balance parenting with a career is in the works with an organizational meeting planned for Sept. 26.

Ham, eggs at Odd Fellows Hall

  Pancakes with ham, eggs, juice and coffee are on the menu Sept. 26.

Carnival at airfield

  As a special promotion, all-ride wrist bands will be $12 on Thursday. A free glow-in-the-dark bracelet will be available on Friday and a free pumpkin will be given with each wrist band purchase Saturday and Sunday.

Horsewhispering workshops set

  Bell's clinics teach a "7-step step safety system" and help with bonding and confidence building. This workshop will deal with shying, pull-back, trailer loading, standing, backing, nervousness, hard mouth, desensitization.

Meet the salmon

  Water Tenders will offer opportunities to see the salmon at Bear Creek Saturday, Sept. 26.
