Police Beat

  • Sept. 17: Someone broke through the sunroof of a 1987 Pontiac Grand Am in the student parking lot at Woodinville High and stole a Pioneer AM/FM CD player worth $400. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $450. Two Craftsman pliers were recovered in the car.
  • Sept. 7: A 19-year-old Redmond man was arrested for a Sept. 3 incident at McLendons where he allegedly stole a deadbolt lock and assaulted a security guard. He was booked into King County Jail for fourth degree assault and third degree theft.
  • Aug. 23: A 55-year-old retired Woodinville man was arrested and booked into the county jail after allegedly hitting a police officer with his elbow. The incident occurred following a Kenny Loggins concert at Chateau Ste. Michelle when the intoxicated suspect twice hassled event-goers.
       Two officers had trouble escorting him to a cab where the suspect tried to elbow one deputy in the head but connected with his left arm instead. The man was cuffed. At the jail he refused to give authorities several pieces of information.
