Cedarcrest golf loses to Liberty, Interlake

Early last week the Cedarcrest Golf Team played a home match against Liberty on the par 35 back 9 of Carnation Golf Course. The players tied 199-199. There was a sudden-death playoff with three players from each team and Cedarcrest lost on the 1st hole.
Derek Berg's putter fell apart after the 2nd hole. He had to use a 2-iron the rest of the round. Other CHS players shooting in the 30s were Sean Beveridge with a 37 and Marc Medley with a 39.
JVS won by nine. Joe Wasem was medalist. He came in with a 42, and an eagle on 14.
Last Thursday, the team played undefeated Interlake on the par 37 front 9 of Carnation Golf Course. Derek Berg had two eagles and ended up with a 3 under 34, but Interlake's best had a 4 under par 33. Cedarcrest lost 191-206. Sean Beveridge had a 41 and Marc Medley and Jason Kamada had 42s.
