Bothell Parks and Recreation events, programs

   Community School returns to Bothell High School Thursday, Oct 1. This free program will continue every Thurday. from 7-9 p.m. until mid-December.
   Sessions are free and open to all ages, although junior high and younger children must be accompanied by an adult. Classes offered this quarter include auto shop, ceramics, beginning drawing, computer lab, open gym, and open weight room. No registration is required.
   Auto Shop classes will begin Thursday, Oct. l at 7 p.m. Classmembers may work on a class project or bring their own vehicle to work on. This is a free class and no registration is required.
   Scrapbooking class will teach step-by-step how to turn boxes of photos and memorabilia into keepsake, photo-safe albums. The class is set for Thursday, Oct. 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. It is appropriate for ages 12 and up. Cost is $10 which includes instruction, handouts and supplies to make the first page. Pre-registration is required.
   No-sew/lo-sew window treatments class is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct 6 at 6:30 p.m. Participants will learn simple, yet elegant, techniques to dress up windows. Cost is $25/person. Registration is required.
   Cardio kick-boxing will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at Bothell High School beginning Oct. 6. This is a non-contact workout using strikes, kicks, and punches. Advance registration is required. Cost for the 10 week program is $95.
   Adult/pediatric CPR will be offered on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 7 to 10 p.m. Cost is $20, and a two year certification card will be issued upon completion. Registration is required for this class.
   Improv Express is for junior high students who would enjoy practicing improvisational skills, speaking in front of a group and a little performing. This six week session will run on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Canyon Park Jr. High School. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $60.
   Rock climbing for teenswill be held at the Vertical World in Redmond on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. Class members will learn rock climbing skills. Cost is $27. Pre-registration is mandatory.
