Remlinger Farm celebrates Halloween

Everyone's invited to join in the fun as Remlinger Farm celebrates Halloween during the month of October.

Each Saturday morning during the month a Pumpkin Parade begins at 10:30 a.m.

The parade features antique trucks, a Great Pumpkin float, decorated ponies, costumed farm characters and Ken the Balloon Clown.

Costume judging for the event is at 10 a.m. on the stage in the Farm Theater. A King and Queen Pumpkin and Prince and Princess Scarecrow will be chosen to ride on the float, but all children entering the contest may join the parade.

Other events for the month include master pumpkin carvers, 300 scarecrows, pony trail rides, farm putt putt golf, a 4-H barnyard petting zoo, a batting cage, moon walks, steam train rides, tractor-drawn hay wagon rides, a giant hay maze, hay jumps, the velcro challenge, slides, a not-so-scary house and a special area for toddlers.

Cost for all day unlimited activities is $8 per child and $7 per adult.

With festival admission, pumpkins are 5-cents per pound.
