Woodinville Pioneer Days this Saturday and Sunday

   Woodinville Pioneer Days will be held this Saturday and Sunday with activities for the whole family. The Saturday events are at different locations throughout Woodinville. A free event shuttle will run on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Sunday a community square dance will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

   10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
   Celebration of Horses and History
   Hollywood Hills Saddle Club Arena
   15205 NE 172nd St.
   Activities will include western style gaming demonstrations, free roping demonstrations and hands-on roping for kids and adults, a mountain man encampment, blacksmith shop with gold panning for kids, stick horse races for ages 3-8, bring your own decorated pumpkin contest, tin punching, and games including marbles, braiding and cats cradle.
   Pony rides will be available for $2.00.
   Food and beverage vendors, including Texas Smokehouse BBQ, will be on site. General parking is not available so take advantage of the free shuttle.
   Woodinville Historical Society Showcase
   Brittany Park Retirement Community
   17143 133rd Ave.
   The showcasewill feature spinning and weaving demonstrations, butter churning, soap making, and historical photos and displays.
   Woodinville Farmers' Market
   13203 NE 175th St.
   The Woodinville Farmers' Market will feature Apple Daze with an old fashioned apple press and home made, home grown and farm fresh products.
   Free covered wagon rides will run from the Farmer's Market to Brittany Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
   Free event shuttle will run between all event sites from10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pick up is at Brittany Park along 133rd, in front of Frontier Bank which is next to the Park and Ride, and at Hollywood Elementary School.
   Oct. 11

   Country Folk & Square Dance
   Sammamish Valley Grange 14654 148th Ave. NE
   All ages are encouraged to attend. Square dancers, a caller and a live band will be on hand, for you to learn dances from long ago that are still popular today. Bring a dessert or drink item to contribute to the fun.
