DUVALL--Police are continuing to investigate a home invasion robbery that took place on the evening of Sept. 25 in the 14900 blk of 275th.
According to police, the front door to a residence was kicked in and four or more suspects carrying guns and wearing ski masks entered the home.
Duvall police Chief Glenn Merryman said that at the time the home was occupied by two 20-year-old males, one of whom lived there. Also in the house were the resident male's younger brother and sister, ages 11 and three. The parents had been gone for about an hour and a half.
The two young children were watching television when they saw the suspects enter, Merryman said. One of them ran to a back bedroom to hide while the older child was held at gunpoint.
He said the suspects went through the house to a back bedroom where they found the two 20-year-olds, who were then sprayed with mace while the suspects yelled threats.
"They knew what they wanted," Merryman said. "And they got it."
Merryman said the suspects used gang language, but it doesn't appear they are from a recognizable gang.
"It's a first of its kind for Duvall," he said. "We are still collecting information and are assuming the crime is solvable."
