Fire consumes shed and field

 Called to the scene were three engines and a tender from Duvall, two engines from Redmond, one engine from Woodinville, a tender from Fire District 10 and an engine from Fall City. An engine from Monroe was posted in downtown Duvall.

 Horse whisperer Frank Bell will be holding a workshop for horses and riders at Starbird Creek Stables in Mt. Vernon on Oct. 9, 10 and 11 from noon - 4 p.m.

 In a tight game from the beginning to the end, the Red Wolves battled in a vain effort for the win.

Rainier Wood Recyclers opens in Fall City

 On Oct. 1, Rainier Wood Recyclers opened its new wood waste recycling yard in Fall City. This family owned and operated business recycles brush and stumps into chips for landscaper mulch and other manufactured products such as animal bedding, arena chips, mud control chips and wood shavings.
