Dam breach evacuation drill

Riverview Schools will hold a full dam breach evacuation drill on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 9:40 a.m. This will involve two schools with approximately 1200 students and staff. Carnation police and Fire District 10 will participate. The drill will be canceled in case of bad weather. Contact Carol Otness, Transportation Supervisor, with any questions, at 333-4370.
  
  

Duvall chamber music group seeks members

An opportunity has arisen for musicians in the Duvall area interested in playing chamber music. Such a group would meet for informal music sessions on alternative Wednesdays and be available for performances throughout the region. The Duvall Arts Commission will sponsor the group. Fitness classes

Fit Happens! Fitness Studio in Duvall has announced its schedule of fall instruction. Aerobic classes will be held MWF at 9:30 a.m. Kid Fitness strength and aerobic training is set for Thursdays, 3:45 p.m. $20 per month per family. Also free Saturday aerobic classes will be held at 9 a.m., featuring 45 minutes of aerobic conditioning and 30 minutes of strength training. Call 844-9027.

E.C.E.A.P. Preschool (located at Cherry Valley Elementary in Duvall) currently has space available for 4-year-old children from low-income families. Class meets Monday-Thursday from 9:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Call 788-4756 to apply.
  
  

Childfind at Riverview

The Riverview School District is seeking young people from birth to age 21 who are not enrolled in public school and may need special education services. Special needs are defined as difficulty with hearing, vision, speech, language, health, learning, developmental delay, behavior management, mental retardation, birth defects, autism or other disabilities. Volunteer English tutors needed

Eastside Literacy Council is recruiting volunteer tutors to work with the adult English as a Second Language (ESL) students in the Snoqualmie Valley.
