The Cottage Gardeners cleaned out and planted fresh pansies and daffodil bulbs in the nearly two dozen downtown Woodinville planter boxes Oct. 4 and 5.
The club, an offshoot of the Woodinville Garden Club, was supported in the project by Molbaks, DeYoung's Home and Garden, Home Depot, and Top Food and Drug. In all, 400 pansies and 675 bulbs were planted. The pansies will provide winter color and the bulbs will bloom in spring. Previously the boxes were cared for by the Woodinville Garden Club twice a year.
Cottage Gardeners on hand for the planting included Judy Peterson, Diane Bradley, Margie Hakala, Margaret Cobb, Penn Bell and Nanette McGrath.
The garden club is currently accepting new members. Interested men or women in the 98072 zip code can call membership chair Frances Johnson at (425) 788-6053.
