Open houses to address SR 522 changes
BOTHELL--The State Department of Transportation--Office of Urban Mobility is recommending a raised and landscaped median on State Route 522 in parts of Kenmore and Bothell.
See that and other proposals to improve safety and people-carrying capacity for the busy route running from Bothell through Seattle at four open houses this week and next. They are at:
- Lake City Presbyterian Church, 3841 N.E. 123rd, Seattle, Oct. 20 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
- Lake Forest Park Towne Center Meeting Room, 17171 Bothell Way N.E., Lake Forest Park, Oct. 22 from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
- First Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 10207 N.E. 183rd St. Bothell, Oct. 27, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
- Kenmore Junior High cafeteria, 20323 66th Ave. N.E., Kenmore, Oct. 29 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Other recommended improvements include construction of additional turn lanes, crosswalks, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, as well as narrow paved shoulders for bicyclists and extension of transit lanes.
