Ordinances presented to Kenmore council
Kenmore City Council met in study session Oct. 12. in City Hall with members present except Debra Chase who was out of town.
Police Chief Sether presented five ordinances needed by the Kenmore police in order to respond to citizen complaints. The first related to overnight parking on residential areas, parking next to mail boxes, inattentive driving and conduct on transit property. The second covered junk vehicle parking on private property. Number three establishes a noise ordinance. Number four covers establishing fire lanes and the last regulates false alarms. All of these are similar to ordinances in neighboring cities.
City Attorney Mike Kenyon presented a national flood insurance ordinance and a national flood insurance resolution. Both of these are required by law before anyone may purchase flood plain property in Kenmore.
These ordinances will come before the next City Council meeting on October 19th.
The council decided that a budget study session will be held Wednesday October 21st at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
The Council then went into an Executive Session to discuss a personnel matter.
