New Kenmore city manager named

   Steve Anderson has been selected by the Kenmore City Council as the city's permanent city manager.
   The decision was made after several executive sessions and consultations with Stan Finkelstein, executive director, Association of Washington Cities (AWC), Carol Green also of AWC. Al Locke, retired former city manager of Kirkland and Gregg Prothman of Waldron Resources.
   Anderson has been the interim and acting city manager for Kenmore for the last five months and has been, according to Mayor Jack Crawford, the "main stay for all our early incorporation responsibilities.
   The annual salary for the city manager has been set by contract at $85,000 along with medical/dental and personnel benefits.
   The length of his contract is indefinite and contains a severance clause provigion three-month salary if the contract is terminated for any reason other than cause.
   Anderson and his wife, Gayle, plan to move from Federal Way to the Kenmore area in the near future.
