Halloween Hauntings

   An afternoon of safe trick-or-treating will be provided by the merchants at Woodinville Towne Center. Children, families and friends are invited to travel from store to store Oct. 31 from noon to 5 p.m. Woodinville Kiwanis will again be taking Halloween photos in QFC with proceeds benefiting local Kiwanis service projects. (487-0347) Mayor Don Brocha will draw the lucky winnr of the Merchant Gift Basket at noon in QFC.
  
   Trick-or-treating on Main St. in Bothell will run from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 31 and at Country Village from 4 to 6 p.m. Other events on Main St. will include face painting and story telling. A jack-o-lantern competition is also planned. Bring your carved pumpkin to the corner of 101st and Main St. between 10 a.m. and noon. The community will vote from noon to 5 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for each age group. Entry is free. (425) 3256, ext. 4337.
  
   Area children (through the 6th grade) are invited to Wooden Cross's annual Harvest Party Oct. 31 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the church. Games, prizes and clowns will be featured. Admission is one bag of individually wrapped candy and one box or can of food for the local food bank. Costumes are optional. The chuch is located at 17401 198th Ave. NE in Woodinville.    The Jungyae Moosul Academy of Woodinville will host a haunted house Oct. 29 and 30 from 7 to 11 p.m. in Woodinville Shopping Plaza at 14039 NE Woodinville-Duvall Rd. Admission is $3, with $1 off with a non-perishable food item for the Northwest Harvest Food Bank. (425) 486-0900.
  
   Ghouls, ghosts and goblins are invited to the Halloween festivities at Redmond Town Center Oct. 31. The celebration kicks off with free hay rides from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.. A Halloween Fun House will be open from 10 to 5 p.m. at Kids Cuts'n Play. A magic show is planned for 3:15 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. Trick-or-Treating on the Pumpkin Trail throughout the center will be held from 4 to 6 p.m All activities are free.
