Sign highlights paving procrastination

Commuters using the Woodinville-Duvall Road have been recently alerted by two flashing signs at either end of the proposal repaving paving area.

Drivers were advised to find alternative routes while repaving was in progress.

The first sign alerted commuters that paving would be going on October 12, 13 and 14. Due to rain, the sign message changed and stated that a delay would result in the paving on Oct. 19, 20 and 21.

Many commuters searched for alternative routes in anticipation.

The most recent sign now states "Paving Delayed to Spring."

According to Debroah Knight, Interim Public Works Director, the delay is caused by the road service being too cool for the new layer of asphalt to seal.
