Kenmore Police Beat
Oct. 17: The King County Sheriff's Office launched a sting operation on Saturday night citing five Kenmore merchants with selling liquor to a minors. The operation was done in cooperation with the State Liquor Board using an underage operative.
The locations cited in the evening's undercover activity were:
Kenmore BP Mart, 6504 NE Bothell Way; Texaco Mart, 6532 NE Bothell Way; Speedy 24 Mart, 7630 NE Bothell Way; Plaid Pantry, 16928 Juanita Drive; Rocky's Corner, 15012 Juanita Drive
Oct.17: A 1993 Chevrolet Capri was broken into in the 5700 block of Bothell Way with items stolen from the glove compartment. There was evidence the thieves also tried to pry open the trunk but were unsuccessful.
Oct.18: Police were called to the 1800 block of 68th Ave. NE by a man report he was hearing "voices" telling him to kill himself. He was taken to Overlake Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
Oct.19: A car was broken into in the 6600 block of NE 181st. The owner, a parttime disc jockey, reported his CD player and a bag full of CD's were stolen.
Oct.19: A car was broken into at the Sammamish River boat ramp and the owner reported all of his wallet and all identification stolen along with other personal items.
Oct.20: St. Edwards Park was the scene of a car prowler who took a purse, cash, and personal identification.
