Woodinville author holds business writing workshop at Barnes & Noble

Julie Miller, Ed. D., author of Business Writing That Counts, How to write quickly and clearly in three easy steps, will present a workshop for those who would like to improve their writing skills this Thursday, November 12 at 7 p.m. at the new Woodinville Barnes & Noble store.

Her book presents a practical approach to conquering the fear of writing and learning to write successfully. Using three steps, Idea Mapping, Power Numbering and Polishing, Miller takes the reader through a series of exercises and new thinking about the written word in memos, reports, evaluations, letters and other business related documents.

"After years of working with people and their issues around writing, I finally decided to write down what I'd been advising," said Miller. "My book is full of information, but I've also made it entertaining. Writing is intimidating and time-consuming for most people. I wanted them to know there's a way to produce a powerful document quickly, logically and easily. I even encourage you to break a few rules in the process!" Her book is listed at $22.95 and available at the store or through Fritz Press, 14136 NE Woodinville-Duvall Rd.,Suite 155, Woodinville, WA 98072.

Dr. Miller is a business consultant, trainer and speaker who has presented her Power Numbering writing system to thousands of individuals, corporations, associations and organizations over the past 15 years. She consults with and coaches individual clients as well as conducting training seminars and teleconferences from coast to coast.
