Carnation and Duvall communities to host Thanksgiving dinner

The communities of Duvall and Carnation are joining efforts for the first annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner.
The free dinner is being organized by ordinary citizens who have worked with the Snoqualme Valley Food Bank Program.
This non-denominational event is sponsored by a number of community outreach organizations including Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Duvall.
Community volunteers plan to serve 125 to 150 individuals and families in the Valley area who otherwise would not have a holiday meal or companionship during Thanksgiving.
Turkey, dressing and all the trimmings will be served family style at Holy Innocents Catholic Church hall, 26631 NE Cherry, in Duvall, from noon to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26.
For those who can save room for dessert, pies and goodies will also be served.
A comfortable waiting area, with children's activities, snacks and refreshments will be available for any people who have to wait.
Live vocal and fiddle music will also be on hand to entertain guests.
Transportation to and from Duvall will be provided to any people who have difficulty getting around. Please call 788-1400 before Nov. 25 to arrange for transportation.
Cash donations from the community can be sent to Seafirst Bank, P.O. Box 1557, Duvall, WA 98019.
All the donations will go directly to the Thanksgiving Dinner fund.
