See the magic of electric imagination at Northern Lights at Marymoor Park. "Santa's Surprise" (shown here) is just one panel part of the over two hundred eighty displays and trees that will illuminate the night.

   The 15th annual Holiday Open House at Classic Nursery will be held Nov. 28, 29, Dec. 5, 6, 12, 13 from noon to 4 p.m. Featured at the event will be Santa telling stories and building toys, pony rides, and baby animals for viewing and petting.    Santa arrives in the Center Street Plaza at Redmond Town Center Nov. 27 at 6 p.m. The tree lighting will kick off the holiday festivities, including holiday music and performances of A Christmas Carol and The Night Before Christmas. Photos of Santa will be available through Dec. 24 at the Santa House in the giant Christmas tree. Other holiday events at Town Center include: a Santa breakfast, Dec. 5 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Claim Jumper Restaurant, cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children; horse-drawn carriage rides Dec. 19-24 from 7 to 9 p.m., cost is $20, carriage stops in Center Street Plaza.    Photos with Santa in his sleigh are available at Country Village Nov. 28-Dec. 20. The sleigh is an 1850s hand-crafted Elmwood sleigh from Germany. It is decorated and nestled in a forested snow scene. (425) 483-2250.

   This holiday season, Northwest Christmas Lighting and the King County Dept. of Parks & Rec. will present the premiere of Northern Lights, the first drive-through holiday display in the Seattle area, Nov. 27-Dec. 30. The display will feature 135 animated and static holiday light displays ranging from eight feet to two stories tall. Hours will be 6-11 p.m. Sun.-Thurs. and 5 p.m.to midnight Fri. and Sat. Admission will be $10 per car; $15 per van, $25 per limousine; and $60 per bus. The display will be closed Christmas day.

   Bastyr University will present Acoustic Offerings for the Holiday Season featuring Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the chapel, 14500 Juanita Drive. NE, Bothell. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. (425) 602-3050.

   The annual tree lighting ceremony at the Space Needle is set for Nov. 27. Santa Breakfasts/Santa Brunches will feature holiday themed meals. The breakfast is available Dec. 5, 12, 19, 21, 24 from 8 to 11:30 a.m. The brunch will be held Dec. 6, 13, 20 from 8 a.m.to 3 p.m. (206) 443-2100.

   Community members are invited to bring a lunch and come to the Woodinville Community United Methodist Church for listening or singing along with them as they sing favorite Christmas carols every Wednesday in December before Christmas beginning with Dec. 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church sanctuary (across from McDonald's).
