For his Eagle Scout project, 13-year-old Kyle Miller collected money and school supplies for the Maltby food bank.
Kyle Miller, a 13-year-old Boy Scout, approached Fran Walster, Maltby Food Bank director, this summer about collecting school supplies for the Maltby Food Bank children.
For his Eagle Scout project, Miller did conduct a school supply drive. Top Foods in Snohomish allowed him to place a barrel at their store, as did the Clearview Albertsons. He handed out lists of needed supplies to customers, and he and teams of scouts went door to door in the neighborhood.
Miller collected over $1,000 in supplies, which were turned over to the Maltby Food Bank and Cathcart Elementary School.
