New hours at LWTC

   Lake Washington Technical College (LWTC) has announced new hours for admissions, registration, student advising, and counseling offices: Mon.-Thurs., 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 17-30 offices will be open Mon.-Fri. 8 a.m.to 4 p.m. Open registration for winter quarter credit classes starts Dec. 2.

Area schools to entertain at Bel Square

   Area schools taking part in holiday entertainment on the Magic Season Performing Arts Stage in Bellevue Square's Center Court include: the Northshore Junior High Jazz choir, scheduled for Dec. 2 at 10 a.m.; the Cedarcrest High School Jazz Choir on Dec. 8 at noon, and the Cedarcrest Band on Dec. 11, also at noon; the Kenmore Junior High Choir on Dec. 17 at 10 a.m.

   Information on the General Educational Development program in Washington state is now available via the Internet, providing people with more efficient and more complete access to information about the testing program. This program offers adults who did not finish high school the opportunity to demonstrate that they have gained the skills and knowledge of high school graduates. It is recognized by 95 percent of employers and higher education institutions nationwide. It can be accessed at: www.sbctc.ctc.edu/Board/Educ/ged/ged.htm.
