Falcons x-country teams finish 7th and 8th

WHS cross country

The 1998 WHS cross country team recently completed a successful season with the boys winning 7th place and the girls taking eight place at the state meet in Pasco.

   The Woodinville High School cross-country team soared through a fantastic season, with both the junior varsity and varsity boys' and girls' teams taking first place at the Kingco meet at Lincoln Park in Seattle.

   On Nov. 7, the top eight runners from both the girls' and boys' teams went to Pasco for the State Meet. The boys finished seventh, the highest place taken n a state x-country meet for Northshore, while the girls took eighth.

   Leading the boys' team this year was Jonathon Gibson, a junior, who is the current Kingco champion. The girls were led by sophomores Kelsey Metcalf and Caroline Myers, who finished first and second, respectively, in Kingco.

   This year's team captains were Shannon Gingel, Meghan Kelly, Amy Guierriery, Blake Croy, Jared Sheeks, and Shad Talbott.
