CARNATION--The Snoqualmie Tribe has been making good use of a surplus van recently donated by King County, according to Tribal Vice Chair Mary Anne Hinzman. King County Council Chair Louise Miller delivered the large-size van to the tribal office in Carnation last month.
Hinzman said tribal members have been using the van about twice a week to transport the tribe's dance group, take seniors to appointments, and make pickups at the food bank.
"We have been waiting a long time for something like this," she said. "It's really a godsend to us. It coudn't have come at a better time."
