WHS Football awards banquet

   The 1998 WHS football team (9-2) held their annual banquet dinner Sunday night. Season highlights included a third consecutive trip for the Falcons to the state playoffs, a final ranking of #8 statewide, and their defeats of Northshore rivals Bothell and Inglemoor.

   Individual awards presented at the dinner included: Most Improved, Joaquin Rodriquez; Most Inspirational, Jamie Franklin; Best Offensive Back, Aaron Hineline; Offensive Linemen, Joaquin Rodriquez and Zach Hubbel; Defensive Back, Jeremy Tager; Defensive Lineman, Zach Tuiasosopo; Linebacker, Derek Jackman; Best Special Teams, Curtis Cruz; Academic Award, Curtis Cruz; Coach's Award, Aaron Hineline; Player of the Year, Aaron Hineline.

   Optimism runs high for next year as most of the offensive and defensive line will return.
