Fall City Community Center is now open
The Fall City Community Center has recently opened. It is the sixth in a series of centers created by King County to make its services more accessible to residents of unincorporated areas. It joins community service centers in Maple Valley, Vashon, Bothell-Juanita, the Sammamish Plateau, and Cottage Lake.
The Fall City Community Center is located at 33409 SE 43rd St., across from the Fall City Fire Station. The Center can be reached at 206-205-7345 or 425-222-7689. Several County agencies have joined together to provide a wide range of services:
King County will hold an open house on Jan. 20, 1999 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Elected officials and staff will be on hand to greet area residents. Citizens are encouraged to call or stop by with their questions regarding County services.
- General services are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12-8 and Fridays from 10-6. These include marriage, pet, and business licenses, Metro information and schedules, property assessments research, receipt of property tax payments, recycling information, home and life safety resources, concealed pistol license renewals, and King County job postings and applications.
- The King County Sheriff has assigned a community police officer at this site for Fall City, Carnation, North Bend, and the south end of the Sammamish Plateau. The officer can be reached at 206-205-7342 or 425-222-7300; however, citizens should still call 911 to access emergency police and medical services.
- King County Department of Natural Resources staff will provide information and referrals on agricultural programs on Wednesdays from 12-5 and on water quality, flood hazards, and fish habitat restoration on Thursdays from 12-5 and by appointment.
- The Department of Developmental and Environmental Services will provide residential building permit services on Wednesdays from 12-5, Thursdays from 9-6, and Fridays from 7-4.
