He was born in Graybull, WY and resided in Carnation on Stillwater Hill for the past 47 years. He was a retired Navy World War II veteran; he also retired as a heavy equipment operator from King County.
He is survived by Joyce, his wife of 53 years; by his children Jay, Lee, Mark, Susie, Jim, Cindy, Glen, Patsy, Casey, and their spouses; 21 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, his family says that memorials may be made to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. They add: "Our father will always live on in the hearts and memories of family and friends."
