Winter recreation guide now available
People of all ages can explore a new world of fun by signing up for an exciting recreation program presented by the King County Department of Parks and Recreation. To learn more about these opportunities, pick up a copy of the new King County Parks "Discovery Adventures" winter recreation guide. The guide is now available at no cost, at all King County libraries or by mail. Included in the guide is information about several new Discovery Adventures programs, in addition to profiles of other winter recreation activities offered by King County Parks. Recreation programs range from family circuses and Karate classes, to sign language instruction and nature adventures. All King County Parks recreation programs are priced for families, and some are free. Registration for King County winter recreation programs begins on Jan. 5. Residents who sign up before Jan. 16 will receive a pass good for five free swims at any King County pool.
