In 1996, she served as chairperson of the Greater Bothell Association, the Downtown Retail Association and in 1998 will serve as their vice president. Henderson also ran unsuccessfully for Bothell City Council in November.
Prior accomplishments of the Economic Development Partnership include: initiating a revision of the sign code, partnering with the Bothell City Council in the Economic Development Study, advocating for the Public Safety Facility, and working with the city's revenue portion of the budget. The Bothell Economic Development Partnership resulted from a meeting between the Northshore Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the 1995 Bothell City Council.
