Money Matters Seminar

  People of all ages can learn more about strategic investment techniques during a Money Matters Seminar held by the King County Department of Parks and Recreation on Saturday, January 24 from 9 am to 4 pm at Marymoor Park in Redmond. Topics covered in the seminar include retirement planning, and stock, bond and mutual fund investing. The cost is only $5 per couple, or $3 per individual.
   The seminar is organized into morning and afternoon sessions, with a one-hour break for lunch. The first session between 9 am and noon will focus on investment basics, including the biggest mistakes individual investors make and how to avoid them, retirement planning strategies, and stocks, bonds and mutual funds.
   The afternoon between 1 and 4 pm will feature information on estate planning, conservative investing, and financial strategies for those retiring in the near future. This seminar will be led by Certified Financial Planners. To pre-register or receive more information, call King County Parks at 206-296-2964.
