Northshore students address work readiness
Northshore School District's Satellite Programs are hosting a series of workplace readiness seminars for 250 vocational students and interested members of the community. A different topic is addressed each month. On January 16, the workshop will focus on customer service, the importance of good listening skills, clear communication, problem-solving ability and creative thinking. It will be led by Ms. Shawna Pitts, general manager of the Wyndham Garden Hotel. The workshop will be offered twice on Jan. 16. The first session will be from 7-9:10 a.m.; the second session from 12:15-1:45 p.m. Both will be held in Ricketts Auditorium, 18315 Bothell Way N.E. Community members are welcome to attend.
Northshore's satellite programs include Automotive Service Technology, Careers with Children, Health Occupations, Graphic Arts/Printing Technology, Criminal Justice, Restaurant/Hotel Management, and Fire and Life Safety.
