The Woodinville High School hoopsters, playing their best game of the young season, corralled the Redmond Mustangs last Tuesday night at the Falcon gym 53 t0 43. Redmond brought a perfect 7-win 0-loss record into the Kingco action and were ranked as the third best team in the state.
First quarter action saw the score 5 to5 with three minutes left. The Falcons were out-rebounded, as the Mustangs made their 2nd and third shots. They found themselves behind 7 to 16 at the end of lst quarter.
A tomahawk jam by Aaron Brown rallied the Falcons to within 3 points but lack of rebounds let the Falcons fall back to 18-25 at the half.
During half time, Head Coach Joe Meagher commanded his troops to crash the boards. The Falcons responded and a Sterling Brown tip in tied the score at 28 all. In the 3rd, it was Sterling Brown's drive to the baskets and over-all hustle that put Woodinville up 34 to 32. Sterling Brown's drive proved to be contagious because his older brother Aaron and the other Falcons got involved in defeating their neighboring town rivals. The Brown brothers combined for 26 points, Jesse had 14, Zach Tuisasoopo 4, Jason Snyder 7, and Nate Lubetkin 2.
