   Join us for a free film festival depicting the black experience in the United States on Tuesdays, Feb. 3-24 from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
   Washington State Bar attorneys will discuss the strength, weakness and effectiveness of the Durable Power of Attorney in easy understandable language at a free talk on Jan. 28 from 9:30-11 a.m.
   Learn about creative writing from plays to poetry and find help with editing, finding the right word, and tips on putting a manuscript together on Wednesdays, beginning Jan. 28 from 10-11:30 a.m. Cost is $4.50 members/$9.50 non-members for six weeks.
   Learn how to start writing the Great American Novel, exploring characters and storyline on Thursdays, beginning Jan. 29 from 1-3:30 p.m. Cost is $10 members/$15 non-members for six weeks.
   Join an arthritis support group and share information and coping strategies on Tuesday, Feb. 3 from 10 a.m.-noon.
   Join a support group for individuals working on managing depressive symptoms and learn about community resources and techniques and skills to manage depression on Feb. 2 from 10-11:30 a.m.
   Learn ways to incorporate protein into your diet from sources other than meat at a free presentation on Feb. 3 from 12:45-2 p.m.
   Learn what records to keep and how to organize them at a free workshop on Feb. 2 from 10-11:30 a.m.
   Learn about volcanoes on the ocean floor, the Pacific "Rim of Fire," tectonic-plate boundaries, and lava floods across tectonic plates in a four week series offered by naturalist Kit Marx, on Thursdays, through Feb. 5 from 10-11:30 a.m. Cost is $12/members, $17/non-members.
   Beginning in January several new classes and activities will be offered in the Mill Creek area. They include line dancing, pastel instruction, a walking group on Tuesday morning, a singing group on Friday afternoon, and an amateur radio group on Friday evening. Computer classes, designed for seniors will also be offered at the new computer learning center at the W.S.U. extension office at McCollum Park.
   Join a support group for tips and suggestions, discussions, presentations, and good friendly support and encouragement for anyone facing the challenges of weight loss on Thursdays from 11 a.m.-noon.
   Attend a support group offering an opportunity to confide in others, share feelings, and build social support on Wednesdays from 1-2 p.m.
