Emergency information at service center

  The Cottage Lake Community Service Center now has emergency preparedness and seasonal life safety information available. Home and personal safety information includes 9-1-1 educational coloring books and stickers for kids, burn prevention tips, home fire prevention information, refrigerator magnets for emergency numbers, education and prevention tips on carbon monoxide poisoning, safety tips on natural gas lines and appliances and ideas on the use, safety and disposal of household hazards.
   Disaster planning information offers step-by-step family emergency preparedness planning booklets, emergency supplies' lists and vendors, detailed instructions on preparation for a disaster, emergency response cards for each family member, food and water safety tips after a disaster and detailed instructions on clean-up and repairs after a disaster including personal items, appliances, furniture, home, yard and farm.
   The 'take home' information at the service center was contributed by American Red Cross, Woodinville Fire and Life Safety, King county 9-1-1 program, King County Emergency Management, the Seattle-King County Department of Public Health and the King County Department of Natural Resources. The Cottage Lake Community Service Center is located at 19145 NE Woodinville-Duvall Rd. at the intersection of NE Woodinville-Duvall Rd. and Avondale Rd.
