WOODINVILLE--You can now ride to Stevens Pass from Woodinville in the comfort of a deluxe motor coach. Last week, the Woodinville City Council approved a $6,461 contract with Gazelle International, a busing company, to provide transportation only to the alpine ski area and cross country center. For only $15 round-trip, the Woodinville Ski and Snowboard bus will begin making weekly trips to the ski area February 3. On Feb. 3, 10, 24 and March 3, 10, 17 and 24, the bus will load at the Woodinville Park and Ride at 7:45 a.m. and leave at 8 a.m. The riders can ski all day and then return to the loading zone at the pass by 4:45 p.m.
On Feb. 17, 19 and March 30 two buses will be dispatched to Stevens. Loading commences at 7 a.m. from Woodinville and 3:45 p.m. at the summit on those dates. Riders are required to register by the Friday before the bus departs. Those interested can sign up at City Hall (13203 N.E. 175th St.) or call 489-2700 for more information. Those under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. A city staffer will ride in the bus to maintain order.
