Branigan James Given wasn't in any great hurry to enter this world, but he did make it in time to be the first Woodinville baby born in 1999 at Evergreen Hospital.
Expected a week ago, but born Jan. 2 at 11:22 a.m. to parents Krisi and Brent Given, Branigan weighed 8 lbs, 7 1/2 oz. and was 21 inches long. He joins older sisters, Kira, 7, a second grader at Woodin Elementary, and four-year-old Taya.
Krisi is a stay-at-home mother; father Brent is an engineer for Kiewit Construction. He is currently working on what is being called the W Hotel, next to the Four Seasons in downtown Seattle.
Maternal grandparents David and Nellie Gray from Carson City, Nevada, were on hand to welcome their new grandson and help out at home. Paternal grandparents are James and Charlotte Given of Anaconda, Montana.
