Area students receive nominations to military academies

   Representative Rick White (R-First District) recently announced the names of 25 students from the First Congressional District who will receive nominations to attend U.S. Military Academies.

   From Bothell were: Adam Madson for the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy; D. Michael Strasser, Jr. for the U.S. Air Force Academy; Brent Williams for the U.S. Air Force Academy; and Judson Heugel for the U.S. Air Force Academy.

   Nominated from Woodinville were: William Hallifax for the U.S. Naval Academy; Tristen Johnsen for the U.S. Air Force Academy.

   From Mill Creek were: Charles Austin for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point; Aaron McElhose for the U.S. Naval Academy and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

   "Every year I'm amazed at the caliber of students interested in attending the U.S. Military Academies," White said. "And this year is no exception. Each of these bright, young students should be proud of their achievements. I am confident they are up to the challenges which lie ahead."
