A letter to post office patrons

Overwhelmed and with deep gratitude are the words to describe our feelings towards you.

The Maltby Food Bank families were richly blessed with all the gifts you gave to them this year. Thank you for helping us provide a special Christmas for our families.

One father told me that these gifts were the only ones he and his daughter would be getting this year. He was so glad to have gifts to give his little girl.

Every family that picked up their gifts was so grateful. Your generosity truly helped them stretch their limited budgets. Most of our adults didn't expect any gifts, and it was wonderful to be able to give them one.

For the family who gave a special gift to the single mother with six children, thanks so much. The mother and I cried together in the parking lot when I gave her your gift.

The Maltby Food Bank was blessed over and over this holiday season. Thank you, everyone, for caring about people you do not know. Thank you for showing them that the world is still a good place.

Our food bank is so very fortunate to be located in such a loving, caring community. We hope each of you have a joyous and blessed new year.
