Help shape salmon recovery plan

Residents are invited to voice their opinions on what they think the focus of salmon recovery plans should be at a series of public meetings, including one in Bothell on Feb. 3.

Co-sponsored by King County, area cities, and environmental groups, the meeting will include a briefing on recovery work done so far, background on the Endangered Species Act, and a report on scientific research. The federal government is expected to list the Puget Sound Chinook salmon as threatened in March.

The meeting is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Northshore Senior Center, 102001 E. Riverside Drive in Bothell. For information on five other similar meetings, call Chris Hughes at (206) 296-8029.
