Sorenson Carnival

   The public is invited to a carnival at Sorenson Friday Feb. 12 from 6 to 9 p.m. The night, sponsored by the Sorenson PTA, will include games for all, prizes, food concessions, and clowns. Admission is free, but game tickets are 50 cents each. Proceeds from the carnival will be used to purchase a sign for the school and needed equipment.

Nature tours for families

   Families are invited to explore some of "Nature's Wonders" and participate in Earth Stewardship activities. Events offered Feb. through Apr. include: Water Safety Wetshop, Oak Creek Elk Trip/Naches, Introduction to Stream-Keeping, Winter Birdland Trip/Skagit Delta, Everett Jetty/Sea Lion Tour, Ropes Course Adventure, Hiking/Mountain Climbing Trips, Kayak/Canoe Day Trip. Jazz Night

   The United Sno-Valley Scholarship Foundation will present the third annual Jazz Night Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. Hosted by the Cedarcrest High School Jazz Band at the school's auditorium, the evening will feature the Mount Si High School Jazz Band and the Generation Gap Big Band. All tickets are $5 and are available by calling Mr. Anthony Smith or Mr. Ryan Lewis at (425) 788-7116.

Ducks Unlimited Banquet

   The Snoqualmie Valley Chapter of Ducks Unlimited will hold its 1999 fundraising banquet Feb. 4 at the Embassy Suites in Bellevue. Call 206-344-1166 for tickets and information.

Rotary meeting

   Rick Helberg will present a slide show on his recent visit to Nepal at the Woodinvlle Rotary meeting Feb. 9 at 7 a.m. at Columbia Winery.
