CERT training classes to begin

Although emergency services personnel are always the first choice for help, there is always the possibility in a catastrophic disaster that community members may be on their own for a period of time because of the size of the area affected, lost communications, and impassable roads.

CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training is designed to prepare residents to help themselves, their families, and neighbors in the event of a disaster.

Offered by Woodinville Fire & Life Safety, the next session of CERT training will begin Feb. 10 at District Headquarters, 19900 144th Ave. NE in Woodinville. Classes are held from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 10 and 17, and March 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31. Another session will begin April 14.
